Delete Your Zo Account
Last Updated: 30 June 2026This page explains how to permanently delete your Zo account and the data associated with it. Zo is a pet companion app operated by Zo. You can request deletion from inside the app, or — if you no longer have the app installed — by emailing us. You do not need to reinstall or sign back into the app to request deletion.
1. Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Zo and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Type the confirmation phrase shown on screen to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and the data below is erased from our active systems.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer access the app, email contact@thezoapp.online from the email address registered to your Zo account, with the subject line "Delete my Zo account". We will verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days, and sooner where reasonably practicable.
3. What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove from our active systems:
- Your account and profile (name, email, profile photo).
- All pet profiles and well-being information (breed, age, weight, activity, dietary preferences, conditions you recorded, and pet photos).
- Your daily check-ins, well-being logs, walks, and step history.
- Blueprints, insights, and suggestions generated for your pet.
- Your Ask Zo chat history.
- Your community forum posts, comments, and likes, and any bug reports you submitted.
- Files you uploaded to Zo's storage.
4. What is kept, and for how long
We retain a limited amount of data only where the law requires it or to protect against fraud and abuse — for example, records we are legally obliged to keep. Routine encrypted backups are purged on a rolling cycle and are not restored after deletion. Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you or your pet may be kept for analytics. Nothing in this category can be used to re-identify you.
5. Questions
For any question about deleting your account or your data, contact us at contact@thezoapp.online. See our Privacy Policy for full detail on how we handle your information.
